Thammasat University, led by the Division of Quality Development and Sustainability, is advancing its sustainability strategy into tangible action by organising its first workshop on “Quality Development for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” under the theme “SDGs Project Designing”. This initiative aims to enable staff and internal departments to practically integrate the SDGs into their operations.

Aiming to Integrate SDGs into Teaching, Research, and Academic Services

The primary goal of this workshop is to enhance knowledge regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support the execution of the university’s sustainability strategy by linking it seamlessly with the operations of various departments. Furthermore, it encourages the design of projects that can be practically applied across three main dimensions:

  • Teaching and Learning: By embedding sustainability concepts into curricula and courses.
  • Research: Through formulating research questions that directly address development challenges.
  • Academic Services to Society: By designing activities that generate sustainable positive impacts.

The event took place on 23 July 2026 at Room SC3-408, 4th Floor, Social Sciences Complex 3 Building, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus. The event was honoured to have a team of distinguished speakers who shared their expertise, alongside a workshop that provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, analyse challenges, and collaboratively design project development guidelines that align with the university’s sustainable development objectives.

The workshop atmosphere was highly engaging, with continuous active participation from attendees representing various internal university departments, as well as the speaker team. This engagement reflects the dedication of the Thammasat community in collaboratively driving the SDGs towards tangible outcomes.

The knowledge and tools acquired from this “SDGs Project Designing” workshop will serve as a crucial mechanism for further developing new sustainability projects and initiatives at Thammasat University. This will subsequently help elevate the quality of internal operations and deliver tangible results for society in the future.
