Fundamental factors in the reduction of energy consumption in buildings are users’ behaviors relating to electrical appliances usage. Faculties, Institutes and Departments within Thammasat University are not only recognizing the importance of energy conservation, but also imbedding the guidelines and seeking for best practice in energy consumption.
They have prescribed measures and made certain changes for reducing electricity consumption, such as (a) regulating air conditioner usage, (b) installing automatic air conditioner control systems and pull switches in lamps that are centrally-controlled, and (c) replacing electric appliances with those that are more energy-efficient e.g., LED lamps.
