In today’s academic and professional world, accumulated stress, demanding workloads, and the exam pressures are often the silent factors that erode the well-being of both students and staff within the university. Thammasat Business School (TBS) therefore prioritises the creation of a Well-Being Ecosystem that seamlessly integrates physical care, mental health support, as well as giving back to society.

Building Long-term Health Discipline

The initiative commenced with the “Fit & Win Challenge 2026”, a  continuous over a six-month programme (March – August 2026) aimed at improving the dietary and exercise habits of staff members. The programme was fully supported by the executive team, led by Assoc. Prof. Wittaya Danthamrongkul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Niti Rattanaprichavej, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Parichat Chanthori, who co-sponsored rewards to motivate  participants and drive sustainable behavioural changes.

The programme yielded tangible results: out of 47 participants, 33 successfully lost weight, accounting for a combined total weight loss of 113.4 kilograms. (You can track the health transformation summary of TBS members to inspire your own self-care journey at BMIFinalDashboard).

Recharging Positive Energy and Adjusting Mindsets

Alongside physical care, TBS has expanded its efforts into mental wellness and stress management. On 21 July 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surat Teerakapibal, Dean of Thammasat Business School, presided over the opening of the “TBS Well-Being: Clear the Mind, Relieve Stress” training session. We were honoured to have Ajarn Beer (Khon Tuen Tham) share insights on letting go, coping with stress, and achieving a healthy work-life balance with over 100 participating staff members at Room 201, 2nd Floor, Thammasat Business School, Tha Prachan Campus.

Relaxing the Body and Generating Income for the Community

To tackle mid-term exam fatigue, TBS introduced the “Auntie, Please Help Me @TBS” activity, an instant relaxation massage service for students and staff. This initiative extends well-being into creating shared value with society by inviting auntie masseuses from the Bangkok Vocational Training School to provide relaxation massages at a rate of 60 baht per 15 minutes.

100% of the proceeds are given directly to the masseuses without any deductions, helping to distribute income straight to professional masseuses in the community. This perfectly integrates the Sustainable Development Goals of promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3) and supporting decent work whilst generating income for the community (SDG 8).

TBS has proven that promoting workplace health can be sustainable through a comprehensive well-being ecosystem that cares for the body and mind, whilst also giving back to society.

For students and staff currently facing fatigue during the mid-term exams, you are welcome to drop by, recharge, and support the income of the community auntie masseuses at the “Auntie, Please Help Me @TBS” event. Walk-in services are available on 28 September and 5 October 2026, from 09:30 to 16:30, at Room 201, 2nd Floor, Thammasat Business School, Tha Prachan Campus.
