Thammasat Soars to Joint 64th Globally in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, Securing Joint 2nd Place in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand — Thammasat University has achieved a monumental milestone in its mission to drive sustainable development.

In the newly released Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025—the global performance table that assesses universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—Thammasat has been ranked Joint 64th in the World out of 2,318 participating universities.

Domestically, the university stands firm at the top tier, securing Joint 2nd Place in Thailand with an impressive overall score of 91.3.


Global Highlights: Top 5 in the World

Thammasat’s performance was particularly outstanding in four key areas, achieving “Top 10 Global” status in two specific goals:

  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions World Rank: 4 | Thailand Rank: 1 (Score: 91.1) A testament to Thammasat’s legacy as a pillar of democracy and justice.
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality World Rank: 5 | Thailand Rank: 2 (Score: 81.6) Reflecting a commitment to diversity and female empowerment.
  • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities World Rank: 38 | Thailand Rank: 2 (Score: 84.1)
